Terms & Conditions
Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before making a booking or accepting a place.
1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT
1.1 Workshop Booking Confirmation:
All workshop bookings must be made through our website or directly via email. A confirmation email will be sent once payment is processed, which serves as proof of your reservation.
1.2 Payment:
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on the workshop. Your booking will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
1.3 Course acceptance:
On acceptance of your place on our 3 month full time or our 4 week intensive throwing course we require the amount paid in full.
2. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
2.1 Cancellation by the Participant:
Workshops: Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. The following cancellation charges apply based on the time of cancellation prior to the Course start date:

Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date will be charged 100% of the total cost (no refund).

Cancellations made 15-28 days before the start date will be charged 50% of the total cost.

Cancellations made more than 28 days before the start date will incur a 20% charge of the total cost.
Full-Time Courses (3-Month Course & 4-Week Intensive Course): By accepting a place on the full-time 3-month or 4-week intensive course, you are committing to the full payment of the course fee. As these are significant financial commitments, no refunds will be provided once your place is confirmed and payment has been made.

Payment for the full-time course is required in full upon acceptance of your place. By confirming your participation, you acknowledge that the course fee is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your space with another participant.
In all cases, cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to info@forestrowschoolofcermaics.co.uk.
If we are able to fill your place on any of our workshops or courses from our waiting list or with another participant, we will refund the course fee, minus an administrative charge (if applicable). However, if we cannot fill the space, the workshop/course cancellation policy will apply as stated above.
2.2 Non-Attendance:
No refunds or partial refunds will be given for non-attendance, regardless of the reason (including illness, travel disruption, or personal circumstances). If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your booking to someone else, provided you notify us at least 48 hours before the start of the Course.
2.3 Cancellation by Forest Row School Of Cermaics:
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a Course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to transfer to another Course.
2.4 Course Changes:
If a Course is rescheduled, you will be notified as soon as possible. You may choose to accept the new dates, request a transfer to another Course, or receive a full refund.
3. TRANSFERS
3.1 Transfer to Another Course:
If you are unable to attend the Course you have booked, you may transfer your booking to another Course, subject to availability. Transfers must be requested at least 28 days before the original Course start date. Transfers requested within 28 days are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
4. LIABILITY
4.1 Personal Injury and Damage:
Forest Row School of Ceramics is not liable for any personal injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal belongings that occurs during your participation in the Course, except where such injury, loss, or damage is caused by our negligence.
5. PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 Health and Safety:
The Participant agrees to follow all health and safety guidelines provided during the workshop/course. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in being asked to leave.
5.2 Physical Capability:
The Participant is responsible for ensuring that they are physically able to participate in the workshop/course. Forest Row School of Ceramics does not offer medical advice and is not responsible for determining your ability to engage in the activities.
5.3 Punctuality:
The Participant is responsible for arriving on time. We reserve the right to refuse entry to latecomers if it disrupts the Course, and no refunds will be given in such cases.
6. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA USE
6.1 Photography and Video:
Forest Row School of Ceramicsmay take photographs or record video footage during Courses for promotional purposes, including our website and social media channels.
6.2 Opt-Out:
If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform us in writing before the start of the Course.
7. DATA PROTECTION
7.1 Personal Data:
By booking a course, you consent to Forest Row School of Ceramics storing and processing your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
7.2 Marketing Communications:
Your personal information will be used to manage your booking and participation in the Course. If you have opted into our mailing list, we may send you information regarding future events and promotions.
7.3 Third-Party Sharing:
We will not share your personal information with third parties without your express consent, except as required by law.
8. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
8.1 Governing Law:
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
8.2 Jurisdiction:
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
9.1 Amendments:
Forest Row School of Ceramics reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to bookings made after the date of posting.
